Interesting to get the comment from Margaret Blair who is a descendant of John Drape. My father was James Drape Stark son of James Arthur Stark who I believe was a lawyer convicted of embezzlement which tore their family apart and my Granny Laura tweddle emigrated to New Zealand. Would like to know more of what happened. I remember an Auntie Jean Blair when I was growing up.

My father was the son of William John Stark, who was the son of James Arthur Stark and Agnes Waugh Drape and would have been the nephew of Chrissy Fergusson. I love her work and would like to get a book of her works if there is such a book available otherwise I will print off my computer

I believe my grandmother was a friend of Chris Fergusson in the 1950s. I believe we own two watercolours given to my grandmother in 1956 as a token of thanks. Would this be of interest to you?

Great artist. I have two of her paintings, one of St Michaels Church,Dumfries and a portrait of the Minister during the 20th centuary.
Not sure if Ms Ferguston painted any other portraits.

Dear Margaret,

Many thanks for your message, and my apologies for the delay - I'm just back from a long honeymoon! I am also a relative (Chris was my great grandmother on my mother's side. I'm delighted to know that this websites has reached you. My uncle, Jim Henderson, is the main 'curator' of great granny's work in the family, and I think he would be very interested indeed contacting you. I have taken the liberty of forwarding this message. If you feel able to provide an email address, please do!

I found this website very interesting as I am a distant relative. My maiden name was DRAPE and I am a direct descendant of John DRAPE, brother of Chrisie's mother.
